Cryotherapy uses nitrogen gas to lower the body’s skin temperature to 30 degrees F for between 1-3 minutes. Thermoreceptors in the skin tell the brain and the Central Nervous System to your body to go into “Survival Mode.” During this process, your body’s blood rushes to your vital organs (a process called vasoconstriction). After your session ends, the body begins to warm up naturally (a process called vasodilation), sending oxygenated & nutritious blood back out to the body’s periphery. This process provides the body with extra nutrients, rids the body of harmful toxins, produces collagen, & activates the body’s natural cell regeneration cycle to produce newer, healthier cells.
